Changing ISP's - would it matter?

Have you tried another ISP besides Telkom?

I'm going go ask again, what does it matter, if you try another ISP? If the line is crappy with Telkom, how would another ISP change the performance of that crappy line?

your line stats seems fine, just sign up for a free gig account with one of the isp's and test it. you have nothing to loose by doing that, and you can test at the same time before you go thru all the pain of dealing with telkom... just my 5c

think you got me confused. I already got my trial account with Afrihost, and it worked well. Plus the Afrihost reps on here are awesome, despite peoples opinions of them as an ISP.

Ok just got a free gig from Cybersmart. Will test when I get home.
Also, Telkom techie phoned and said he will be at my apartment at 5 and will also check if there is a problem at exchange.

Ok even when I use the cybersmart account I have the same issue. The telkom guy asked for a speed test now over the phone. Was supposed to come through today but will come tomorrow to have a look.
