Looking for a cheap 5.1 speaker system, that i can plug into my tv via 3.5mm audio jack.

Ballpark: R300 to R500

Just want a bit better sound quality when watching movies

Google the cheap Logitech 5.1, it's about 1k-1.5k. Under that price it doesn't exist unless for 2nd hand or 4th hand.

Im open to cheap pc speakers guys, old doesnt matter. Im not looking for fancy new logitech ones

Can always go to the local Cash Crusaders or pawn shop and pick up a second hand 5.1 Dvd player, I still use all the speakers from such a set and the sub but I've changed to a dedicated amp, cheapy but it works and it means I can control each channel from the pc which is much better

These little Chinese amps one gets for a few hundred are decent if you use them properly, make sure to get one that is actually stereo or multichannel and never use any of the audio adjustment features, eq's or the like, just use them for power and then do all your EQ needs from the pc with something like this, and it'll sound damn good for what it is.

Did you forget an extra zero?

Im not looking for something fancy as i said, or something made in 2021

Ah okay, that is a good deal I would say. My 10 year old Genius 5.1 set which probably cost me around R800 back then, I would probably now sell for double that now, if not more.
