Cheap ADSL modem/router(wireless)

Hi. Want to sign up for broadband finally, but i don't want to be locked down in a 24 month contract. So I need to buy an ADSL modem/router cash. Whats the most cost effective basic modem/router available. I live in a 2 bed apartment, and will only ever have two PC's connected (wireless) to the network. If not a model number then specs I should look out for?

If you're not looking for super speeds in the future, I really think the cheapest wireless router will do you fine. Really really.
