Cheaper internet access is on its way

this is the same old ****, cheaper prices are coming, yeah they've been coming for years now but arrivals seem a tad limited
 
Hey guys, I just got some exciting news. SEACOM will be ready by mid 2009. This will probably mean..... what? you know about this? HOW?!?!?

We need "real" news, not "lets wait and see if its true!".

Maybe divert some of your journalists from the seacom project and write articles for your other sections until official prices are released or something because these articles that are posted once a day about the same old thing are getting irritating and might just make ppl stop reading completely because they know exactly what your articles are about.

Seacom will only make an impact on Telkom but not on us. We still need cheaper local bandwidth and hosting facilities! :(
 
Guy's, I understand your bitterness and I feel your pain. But c'mon, the SEACOM cable is a physical reality that will be here in mid 2009.

This is good news no?

Couple this with the Altech ruling, things are looking good.
 
These type of articles..wow. I am so lost for word. It should be illegal to post such.
We know that the landing stations are almost done and that the cable will land soon. That is what we get to read every 17 hours.

Lets boycott all non MBB articles on Seacom until something concrete comes up. Now I am pissed, so I am gonna go out side to do my bit for the planet and plant a tree!!
 
You can always choose not to read these articles.

I think they are good, as they keep the fear and unease focused in the minds of our motley band of service providers. The more they are concentrating on how to remain competitive and relevant, the better it will be for consumers.

That is a problem? Unless of course Neotel really are the Knight in shining armour that we are longing for, then we are just stuck with a gang of four doing final mile delivery which is not good for anyone. Lets hope those 600 or so VANs can get into action and start self providing real soon!

An urban legend - unless you are a corporate - I have yet to see that magic orange cable appear on my pavement...:D

I am a sceptic for just this reason, articles like these used to make me fill with hope for the SA... But after a few of these you come to learn they rarely happen, or never to the extent to which they were promised :/
