Anyone know if this site has been removed. Have been using for about 3 years and could still access last week but I am now getting "file not found" errors

Seems the link in the OP is down:

Anyone know of a calculator that is in the same league?

There was another one of Mutual And Federal but that one is password protected now. The link is somewhere in the first 4 pages of the Motoring section.

The mead one, has been down for a long time now.

The closest you can come now is registering your car onto AA Autobay... they give you a rough estimate...

BUT don't put your real cell number because they will harass you non-stop... It got to the point where I actually had to swear at the call centre people to try and get them to stop.

This is just pathetic. Every car dealer has one of those blue books and every vehicle finance division too, but people can't access the same information online anymore, free of charge? The banks should make this free to their customers because they pay hefty finance charges. So, if anyone from Standard is reading this BRING THE USED VEHICLE VALUATOR BACK and make it a part of online banking if you must.

Have to agree with you.
Those books are treated like gold at dealerships and only because they cost so much (for some or other reason) and beacause it's the resource used to screw over unsuspecting clients.

A friend of mine has worked at numerous dealerships over the years and whenever I walk in to have a cup of coffee and want to have a look at the book, it's a damn mission.

I went to a VW dealership a few months ago to ask what the trade on my car was and the salesman had the book, but was doing his damndest to keep the pricing out of view from me. I just turned around and walked out...

That damn MEAD calculator was handy indeed and I used to have it bookmarked till the w@nkers took it down.

ITC took it over. You need to subscribe to it... I was thinking of subscribing and then making a check car value website available, but ITC's terms forbids it :(
