Checkers launches new rewards programme

Can't be worse than smart shopper, which I still bother with even though the earnings are a joke. Good on checkers, I don't have one near me anymore but I'd prefer to use them over PNP

Yeah PNP smart shopper has become a joke, I used to like Dischems about 7 years ago when my son was a baby, used to regularly be able to buy formula with the points earned.

Just a pity my nearest Checkers is still one of those fugly 90's looking shops that smells like someone had pee'd on a carpet somewhere and you're too scared to touch anything lest you pick up some bug, meanwhile Sandton has a better-that-Harrods shop already.

I quite like the SmartShopper program. A day before payday, those accumulated points come in handy.

Savings on products for some reason never really apply for the products/brands I like. So never really use the Spar program. And the Checkers by me is dingy hole I don't trust.

Maybe the answer is 100% discount as shoplifting seems trendy these days

Buying less and less from Pick N Pay these days, not sure if that's why my Smart Shopper discounts are sucky these days

The source of the stink is the canteen.

Stocard is the best! Most shops have to capture the card number manually but, for the convenience of having all my cards in a drawer at home, it's so worth it.

How much are we talking here? Cus you need to spend alot while taking advantage of promos to get any sort of balance going. Mines been hovering around R100 for years now. It's something like 1% or less return on your normal spend. Don't mean to derail, just curious.

I got my very bright orange card today thanks
