it appears from some of the replies in my thread that some people think I am a liar. Well, if that is the case, then come to my offices and see how nicely your Vodacom phone works here!
I've had the exact opposite from Vodacom. Good, solid service. They even sent a crew to our office and installed a booster antenna because we complained of bad signal at our office (a residential home/office setup). It took about a month from first complaint to getting the antenna installed, free of charge and now we get full signal and even 3G on the premises. Everything else with Vodacom's been great too. Good luck with MTN...tried them, ran away as soon as I could.
yeah well sure, I am STILL WAITING for Vodacom to decide what they are going to do here, I have been busy with this for months, I am not getting anywhere

oh well, they're probably glad to see you go after all you "complained, complained, begged, pleaded, complained, complained, begged some more, begged, begged again"
Sounds interesting, Live in a complex in a sheltered valley and signal is poor, do you think Vodacome would boost signal somehow for all 18 Units?
We would recommend that you do the following trouble-shooting:
• Test simcard in another handset (what is the outcome) Still the same
• Search for the available networks manually on your handset. This option is usually under the phone settings menu. Once you have selected the network you have available
• Please switch your cellphone OFF/ON and wait for the registration.
Should the problem be ongoing, please supply us with the information listed below in order to escalate the matter to our Network Division.
1. Please provide us with the GPS coordinates in your particular area. S
2. Approximately how many other Vodacom Subscribers encounter the same problem?
3. What make and model cell phone are you using?
4. What is your cell phone number?
5. Is there an alternative contact number where we can reach you?
