I will see you later in the week! I am so glad that you have posted these links. Funny with all my game playing I have never considered to even see whether you can play chess online! I have given up on the game many years ago because it was so difficult to find opponents. So if you are prepared to play an old novice, I am really looking forward to it. Unfortunately I have other commitments tonight, susch as work, but have already registered.

The ICC is the place to play! Many wilds, many GM's, IM's, tournament coverage etc. Even prize tournaments... Unfortuantely it is a pay-to-play service, but well worth it if you are a chess enthusiast.

I used to play, but I suck terribly. But thats not the point, the point is the beta for Vista contains a chess game, not sure if it is network/internet enabled though

Yeah I could improve my chess game. I like to play with a physical board tho. Although battlechess was worthwhile. "Castle swallow that Queen" hehehe. Have they done a similar remake of this concept? Anyone?

Try www.echess.co.za not quite realtime, but you make a move and then your opponent is notified via email etc.
