China - Taiwan Developments

I am not praising China, I am just saying that saffers can`t judge China because SA is infinitely more of a sh1th0le. China is not some communist sh1th0le, they are achieving great things. Getting a state like China`s will be a massive improvement for SA.

Ever been to Africa where China has moved in? They use Chinese prison slave labour to build whatever they have debt trapped the government into while unemployed locals look on.

Once built and the government can't pay, the Chinese take over the facility and move Chinese in to run it while unemployed locals look on.

The reality of the Chinese colonisation of Africa. Travel in Africa and see.

Fascinating...So this is what governments generally do for their citizens.

Make Laws and enforce them
Make Policies and apply them
Protect their citizens with a defense force
Provide social assistance in most cases.
Create official documentation for their citizens (passports etc)
All of the above is paid for by the taxpayer.

The Tawainese government does all of the above for the people of Taiwan, it seems to tick every box that makes for a legitimate government....
semantics do not make governments

take it up with the UN and the USA among others if you're looking to convince them their official position is wrong

Why is the status quo not an option?
the status quo is also effectively accepting China as the winner, without the deaths and the forced reunification of course

Taiwan can stop any and all talk of this independence stuff right now and China will back down, but they won't and the US also seemingly won't let them, so here we are

yet another unprovoked war on the horizon courtesy of Uncle Sam

I don't need to, the population of Taiwan get everything from their government that they could want, looks pretty legitimate to me. What is the current population of Taiwan lacking that a supposed "legitimate" government could offer them?

Yes, according to the UN.
the same UN that says Taiwan is part of China ...

therein lies your hypocrisy:
- citing the UN only when it suits you
- pretending one province of one country deserves independence while denying a different province in a different country the exact same right

everything? so nobody wants independence from China then? because their pretend government is in no position to give them that ...

Taiwan is China. The world knows this. America must stop sacrificing other people for their diabolical greed.

They been cruising for a bruising for a long time. Should be careful, thig won't go the way their fat heads think it will.

All they are doing is accelerating the timeline before Taiwan is back in the fold. Read somewhere 2040 or 2050 was the plan.

Regardless of whether Taiwan advocates for independence, it may not necessarily alter the current situation on the ground. It appears that China is considering military action due to perceived emotional injury, which could potentially escalate tensions and lead to conflict.

This is the odd thing about China, it has the worlds largest chip on it's shoulder..... say something about it's mamma and it might just nuke you.

That's only the UN position because China has a veto vote. Take that veto away and the UN will have a different standpoint.

everything? so nobody wants independence from China then? because their pretend government is in no position to give them that ...
And would a "legitimate" mainland Chinese government offer them that either? Some things aren't possible, but from my understanding, most Taiwanese citizens are happy with the status quo as regards their relationship with mainland China.

What do the Taiwanese say?

China will not easily ever have as good an opportunity as the Ukraine war to intervene militarily in Taiwan, all of NATO is sending their ammo and weapons into a black hole where it won't come back from, they're in no position for another front to open with a major military player

one would think that's obvious enough for USA to back the F down ... alas ... they're either too stupid to see it or they actually want it
