I used Chrome for years when I was still windozing, but frequent crashes in Kubuntu Lucid and the fact that one cannot synchronize passwords to the web was the dealbreaker.
I now use FF on the nix with the XMarks Bookmarks and Password sync plugin and I'm not complaining.

try using mozilla weave plugin. it syncs your history, forms, tabs open on other computers, passwords and bookmarks.
it integrates better with the native functionality of the browser and has double encryption using a password and passphrase.
