Hi there

Any one that did there CCNA cert, where is the best place to learn CCNA with labs. I bought on Udemy the CCNA course from David Bombal, but his teachings are so boring and they way he speaks, make's me want to sleep. Lot of reviews say he is good, and you use Cisco Packet Tracer to do Labs.

I have Looked at INE Training, CBT Nuggets, ITPROTV, but can be expensive. Any recommendations regarding good resources, with LABS.

And where can i go and write the CCNA Cert Exam in pretoria and what does the exam cost. The work said they will pay for the exam

You write the exam at any pearsonvue center
It has been a very long time since I did it, so cannot comment really on how the exam is, but there should be loads of online stuff for you.

Back in the day i used gns3 / eve for labbing. From what I recall there isnt a huge amount of requirements, it was setting up basic routing and switching.

I am sure if you dig around there is a lot of the videos and courseware floating around on the internet.

Thank you for the reply.
I will contact pearsonvue and ask what the costs will be regarding the exam.

Back in the day I used CBT Nuggets - https://www.cbtnuggets.com/
Not sure what they are like lately

Edit: I see you did mention them and costs, is work only paying for the exam?
With some certifications the exam is the cheapest part

Thank you for the reply.
I will contact pearsonvue and ask what the costs will be regarding the exam.

You should be able to register on the pearsonvue site and then go to book, it will give you the cost.

Thanks guys.

I will book for it and when i know the price, will respond here if another person was also thinking of doing his / her CCNA

Also did it a while back. Exam wasn't too difficult but depends on your experience level. I also used GNS3 and had a decent lab setup.

They also give you Cisco labs from their website but those labs expire in 30 days AFAIK.

The exam is no longer practical like it used to be but monkey puzzle like N+.

Would it be advisable to exclude N+ and jump straight into CCNA?

I did my N+ and CCNA very long ago, but if you can handle it I still believe CCNA negates the N+.
Back then I believe the N+ was like a bridging step to get to CCNA. The exam back then was incredibly tough.
I only failed 2 cisco exams, my CCNA and my CCDE lab

Jeremy's IT Lab is pretty good, he explains things in a way that is easy to understand and won't make you fall asleep.
