Anyway Pooky although I'm not a fan of the citigolf, pimp it out anyway since you going to spend so much time in the car might as well enjoy it

Yes.. and Lewis has been driving "professionally" since he was 11 or 12... So he's a bad comparison to an average South African who only got their license when they were 18...
 
Also please don't make it so that you drive down a quiet neighbourhood with the sound of a burst exhaust. It annoys me hearing those 'pimped' cars driving at 60km/h making 20x the sound of an old beetle. Makes me wish it was legal to stick a potato into those exhaust pipes.

Rather spend your money on a good imobilizer (and gearlock) and also security nuts for your wheels, not lekker waking up to your car sitting on bricks (if they were nice enough to leave them on bricks). Let your insurance know, as this should drop your premiums.
Alarms are useless and criminals now days use it against you.
Creature comforts inside, you're not impressing anybody with pimped out body accessories etc, so go for electric windows, locking etc

Remember, the nicer your car looks, the more likely thieves will pinch it. You're better off ratting it out as opposed to pimping it.

Oh and please no spinners FFS

Cool, in that case security wheel nuts are about R400 - R500 for a set from TWT. There's nothing worse than losing your wheels & tyres and the cost & total stuff around to get replacements.
Then still consider a gearlock as that is visible and thieves understand that more than the magic electronic stuff, will save you a broken window.

Dude, for as much as I dislike punk kids who piss me off with their "pimped" citigolfs/corsas pumping bass from distorting 6x9s, rolling on their 17's with "freeflow" fartboxes..it is YOUR car and YOUR money. Make it your own till YOU like it. Plenty 2nd hand rims with tires and other pimping goodies for cheap on Bumtree...save up...pimp it out...you only live once and then you grow old like me and the other farts on here.
Carpe the hell out the Diem while you can.

Nobody's telling him not to enjoy, but us "old farts" are saying save the money and spend it on something useful..

We all made the mistake of wasting money "pimping" our cars.. and its money that could have been better used elsewhere.

Also at R10k the car is a bargain... to a degree.. its still a shyttigolf so its not really worth much more than that.. even a brand new one.
 
No matter what you do its still gonna be just a citi golf. The more you try to pimp it, the more you look like you are from a hillbrow crack den neighborhood and trying to hide it.

You are young so don't stress about how your car looks. The world is your oyster and your money could be spent better on booze, music, girls and good times. :)
 
Quick question..... I want to replace the inner H3 bulbs but the thing is that they have a wire on them with a terminal on the end... Now on the old bulbs where the terminal attaches to the car wire... there is a rubber sheath that goes over it that is quite tight, I can't slot it off to connect the new bulb, is there a way to do it, or must it be cut off?

You can always get some rope lights and attach them to the underside of the car




Also you can get two tins(even one big coffee tin) and attach it to your tail piece. it can look almost like a Velocity. The big coffee tin will look like you have a Jap box exhaust

Find a 2nd hand CAM that you can put on top of the engine that'll give you extra vooma! ;)


Stickers can also make your car look faster

thank you 'old fart' ....it's guys like you i have the most respect for.
i have a shytygolf too and i wont pimp it out but the way Pooky posted here asking for advice and all he got was insults etc is lame.some ppl never have anything nice to say.its sad :whistle:
