Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

Busy playing it now, still very early in the game and it's got my attention
 
Yup been on my radar for a while, will pick it up once I’m done with this BG3 run…
 
Awesome game. Just got my limit break so the fun is really starting now. Combat is something to behold.

It's the highest rated user reviewed game on Meta at 9.6.

With a team of 30 people.
 
I'm also enjoying it so far.
Kinda similar to The Thaumaturge which I played a little while ago and with the same combat system, except that Exp33 brings in skill-checks which takes it a notch up and not purely a numbers game.

Great music, good graphics, interesting story.

Want to give it a shot, since it's day 1 on gamepass, but couldn't get past the first tutorial part, because of the bad performance

That's with 44% upscaling. Even Starfield performs better than this
 
Enjoying on pass as well.

Something with the motion animation seems off, no idea what.
 
It's awesome, not a lot of games has the chops to do a 1 hour intro and get you so invested in the game.

Wierd. It's less demanding than cyberpunk, runs better than stalker 2, better than oblivion remaster, better than any big modern release. Only Khazan I would say runs better

Which is why I'm no fan of UE5. Every single game requires tweaks/fixes/mods.

The game's borderless and widescreen resolution is broken, the cutscenes are fps capped and cropped and its over-sharpened as ****. This fixes it. I will say its mandatory on PC until they patch it.

I don't think anyone will disagree that UE is problematic. My point is that of all the current UE games. This one probably performs better than most.

Reality is , expedition 33 wouldn't exist as beautifully as it does for such a small team if it wasn't for UE. So we get what we get. I'm sure a patch or two will help alot, but stability wise zero crashes in 20 hrs

It does perform better than other UE5 games, but they missed a few settings they did not give us access to hence to need for tweaks/mods/manual .ini edits. Again. As with other UE5 games.

I'm hoping for a patch soon. The game should absolutely not be so over-sharpened and we also need a setting to turn down the fog. I'm personally playing fullscreen because I simply cannot change my borderless. Its not selectable for me and stuck at 4k and not the 1440p I need it to be. I have a midrange card. I need 60fps minimum not 20fps.

Other things too need changing. Like parry windows. By default its set to only 0.15 seconds on the hardest difficulty. That's insane.

I do not know what universe you are from, but this game is not less demanding than any game you just mentioned

I run Cyberpunk high/epic 2k no DLSS and currently running Oblivion remastered just fine on high 2k DLSS balanced

check out what the performance review is. that it plays on 3060 is quite an achievement its a dense beautiful game. Oblivion on my rig runs worse than expedition

cyberpunk epic at 2k on a 3060, thats very impressive for a 3060, unheard of infact. either way. it seems to be a you issue. everyone else finds that it runs great. granted a glitch/issue here and there. but NOTHING as pathetic as cyberpunk at launch
