those who listen to Classic music please help... I'm wondering if Enigma is good. I'm new to classic music and i need help, which artist i can listen to...

Enigma is a band from the 80's, I doubt they do classical music.

Are you referring to classical music such as Mozart, Beethoven etc?

i'm not sure. there is a song "sadness" it's by Enigma...

Educate me please

If it's the Enigma i'm thinking of <mole>'s recommendation might be well worth checking out.

Angel Voices / Libera
Katherine Jenkins also does a few good classical songs, eg. I will pray for you - Still looking for the CD being distributed in SA with another version of this song.

Then there are the usual Chopin Mozart Beethoven Vivaldi et al - depends on what you are looking for really.

New Age is the term you are referring to ... not classical. Even I enjoy a lot of Enigma, very relaxing.

Minimalist classical music:
Gorecki's THIRD SYMPHONY. Naxos release, aka the cheapest one, is also the best :). No need to be a music scholar to enjoy this music!

Enigma, Gregorian chant, Adiemus, Enya, etc could be classified as New Age and probably also as "Modern Classics". Although, that would better apply to the works of actual modern orchestral composers, counting people like Vangelis (just listen to "1492").

They're all well-produced, melodic artists IMO.

Gregorian masters of chant are also good have been listening to them since yesterday
