Hi folks

There is an insert regarding the ADSL price reductions on Classic FM (102.7, Lindsay Williams) tonight. To the best of my knowledge Pinky Moholi will be talking about this issue, and if I am not busy on the 702 show I might get in a word or two as well :D

Regards,

RPM

Hi folks

Anybody recorded this interview? Was slightly heated :D

heard the part when pinky came on,... she didnt sound happy!!! Huh again U/myadsl proved to know more than telkom..

Hi guys

The DJ (Lyndsay Williams) did a great job. He gave me a nice 30 sec slot to ‘advertise’ MyADSL, after which the discussion started. Ray Webber from CUASA spoke before me, with very similar views to us (just more professional and less aggressive :D). It got somewhat heated when I mentioned that the ‘ADSL line rental’ was unique to SA. Pinky argued that line rental is just for the phone service, avoiding the ‘ADSL connectivity’ issue. This happens time and time again… Wish we can have a nice long open debate with Telkom one of these days…

Regards,

RPM

Fantastic RPM, I hope somebody recorded this one. Could be a good laugh - esp, hearing what Pinky has to say.
I wonder if she has a brother called Thumb?

No, that's what the R86 line rental is for. What aggravates me is how ridiculously easy it is to disprove Telkom's lies, yet they just keep on making them, with no consequence. Will it never end?

Well done RPM and MyAdsl.

This is an interesting twist to the ICASA submissions. Maybe RPM could ask Diane if ICASA would care to ask Telkom for clarification in view of their testimony during the ADSL hearings.

did anyone record this? please post link if you did. Thanks a nmillion and well done RPM and company. What an awesome day for press/media for MyADSL. I think we just hit the mainstream folks.

yowser RPM - you left withthe final word and a cliff hanger at that. WELL DONE BOET!

Hi AdLo

Thanks for finding/publishing this link! You really are up to speed with all these developments! Our own Rupert Murdoch :D

LINDSAY WILLIAMS: Rudolph, have you been listening?

RUDOLPH MULLER: Yes.

LINDSAY WILLIAMS: What is MyADSL?

RUDOLPH MULLER: MyADSL is a user group - with thousands of Telkom customers, and other broadband users as well. We address band-related issues, share information, publish news - people are welcome to visit myadsl.co.za and look at what’s going on there.

LINDSAY WILLIAMS: Okay - that would normally cost you about R5,000.00. What’s your reaction to the cut from Telkom?

Rotfl !! AHAHA thats just too funny :D

*edit - incase anyone gets the wrong idea, its mainly the "Okay - that would normally cost you about R5,000.00" part that im laughing at ;)

no the advertising plug for MyADSL would notmally cost R5000!

5 grand for 2 sentences? Geez man, release your stranglehold of death on the advertising budget ClassicFM...

ps: Pinky doesn't know the difference between analog line rental and DSL rental. And i bet never been ANYWHERE either.

I was thinking along the same lines. Either Pinky doesn't know/understand the product or just trying to fool the listeners into believing it was cheaper than it really is. Telkom is going to learn the hard way that South African's are finally waking up to their bullshyte and won't lie down and take it for much longer.
