Clearwater Mall being evacuated

somebody probably didn't feel like working today, or was going to be late for work and decided to call in a bomb threat
 
At least once a month during the last 6 months of the year. Sometimes twice/thrice a month.
 
ESCALATE WARNING : All services concentrating on Clearwater Mall. Possibility that criminals have created a diversion so that they can hit other place without resistance. Be vigilant.
 
BOMB THREAT AT WEST RAND MALL

Clearwater Mall on Johannesburg's West Rand was evacuated on Monday morning due to a bomb threat, paramedics said.

"We can confirm that there has been a bomb threat at Clearwater Mall," ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring said.

"The mall has been evacuated due to the threat. As far as we know the bomb disposal unit and dog unit are on the scene."

When they find no bombs, said perp is going to be in for a world of pain.
 
Ransom? Too many die hard movies. Worst case, I agree with the sentiment that this is meant to cause a distraction for something else.

No, I live a block from the mall in Scottburgh. It was an armed robbery. They came through the ceiling of the Pick'n'Pay and locked all staff in the toilets. They then proceeded to loot the safe and make off with a small fortune before meeting with the local security company. Armed with AK's they started what can only be described as a small war a mere 500m from my bedroom window. No arrests have been made and lots of residents have been left fearing for their lives after all the commotion.
