Cloud Nine Mattress: Any good?

Got a cloud 9 here, very comfortable & firm, no complaints in that department.

The only issue I have is it gets really hot in summer, and if we didn't have an AC I dont think I'd manage. Googling, this seems to be a common complaint about C9.
 
Perfectly happy with ours. Came from a premium Serta.

As mentioned... It can be hot in the summer.

I was asking him specifically because heat related complaints usually come from memory foam, not the mattress itself.

Which is why as you can see they’ve put gel on the one above.

What I would say is be aware of matching the weight class appropriately or as near as otherwise you are likely to find it way too firm or way too soft.

In a perfect world go try it out somewhere before buying it online. Take your own pillow.

Don’t think you can go wrong with any of them. My kids have the Monoflex cheapies and I’ve slept on them happily many nights.

Yep. I have the tempur pillows for my neck. I'll see if I can popout and try it, there is few mattress sellers close to me.
 
I have a C9 TravelFlex. Very comfortable, especially with my Visco Pedic pillow.
 
Cloud 9 is great. The foam takes a while to get use to but you won't go back to a spring after. As mentioned above the over-heating is a delicate science.
 
I'm also thinking about getting a foam mattress for me and the wifey.

Anybody with some experience with Sloom ?
 
Brilliant mattress. You wont regret it for a minute. Our Cloud 9 has been going for about 18 years now.

No, but Cloud 9 is one of the only few brands that are approved by a chiropractor board or something.

Also check ericssons pine , they were cheaper than mattress warehouse and had stock.
 
Go to the Matress King in Umgeni Rd and tell the manager that we are forum friends. You'll get a discount on any Cloud 9 base/matress.
 
Cloud Nine make the spring free mattresses. It's stiffer but comfortable. Find the nearest official showroom for cloud nine, they don't sell direct to public, but will refer you to the retailer. Retailers usually have own branded models of the basic factory models. You pay for how thick the mattress is, extra comfort layer on top,extra cooling layer, extra length.
 
I need to buy a new mattress and going by the posts here it seems cloud 9 is a good buy.

I will be weighing 120kg this, liefie is about 60kg so I was thinking of buying 2 different single bed mattresses according to their respective weight class as I think it might be uncomfortable for liefie to sleep on such a firm mattress.

Will this setup work? How will I "join" the 2 together without sacrificing comfortability and which 2 mattresses are recommended?
