Co.za downtime explained

Ah yes. Because COZA is perfect, and they don't need to upgrade/update/get with the times.

Is 'emerginged' even a word?

I guess they are going with "if it ain't broke don't fix it". well IMO it's now royally f'd up, so while your fixing it, let's move into the 21st century

We can only dream :/

Maybe we should take coza's system to izzy's vet... she broke a toe and got a new leg.... :D

I must say I haven't had any problems with their system in years. It's human to have something go wrong. Even the Google the great has had outages

it's not about the system being broken, it's more about how one has to go around registering / managing a domain, personally, I like the idea of godaddy (or any other registrar that i've used) where u can manage the domains directly, without having to send emails. it's just annoying

I still wonder where on earth people think money for the modernising of uniforum will be coming from.

It cost 10 million rand for the piece of rubbish that is the new durban web site, and it does not even actually do anything.

Creating a simple API for domain registrations as well as a central management console is hardly rocket science. This can easily be done by a decent company without even entering 6 figure amounts.

As for the Durban site - what's the URL? I would love to see what could POSSIBLY cost 10 million!

OMG their captcha is really slowing things down.

API & Uniforum - two words that dont / cant coexist

Power spike affecting several systems? Are they hosted in someone's basement?

the guy that programmed co.za also designed the wheel

Man... this would go down on the day that I need to transfer a domain :-(

Actually its day three or four... and theyre still down. God theyre useless. To the noobs at Uniforum that couldnt organize a pissup in a brewery... do you know how to back up? Do you know what the word "redundancy" means? Do you have any clue about what you are doing? Clearly not.

Still down. Wonder if I can invoice them out for my time they are wasting?
