Cobra Kai

So I see due to country restrictions we cant see more than two episodes on youtube but the complete show is in the rough seas where pirates roam....

So I watched the first two episodes last night on youtube. Was really impressed. The original story was about as vanilla as you get where the angle they are playing now is much more interesting. Its told from the perspective of the bad guy for one, and where the other characters fit is also fascinating to me. Definitely not vanilla anymore. Interested to see where this goes.

I see the writer is Josh Heald from Hot tub time machine and the directors are from the Harold and Kumar movies.

I think I will do the 1 month free red tube trial just to watch the rest and hope they roll out to SA at a later stage. The wife has Google play so we should get it for free at that stage.

Bah, bloody old thread got me.

I do find the thread title and the mention of Red Tube by accident rather amusing.

Watched it last weekend. For a show that seems to have no budget at all, this was quite entertaining. I really like the Johnny character.

Had to google what red tube was to figure out why all the lols. Find it pretty funny that youtube named their channel what they did considering what else exists out there!

Just finished watching this series.

Loved it. Was more the nostalgia than anything else I think.

The throwback to the first movie is great.

Wasn't sure who I was rooting for there at the end.

Not really, I loved the fact that they kept the cheesy 80s fighting style and a lot of the series is self aware, but brilliant in that regard. Something like Iron Fist is where you can legitimately expect good combat but it is a massive let down.

Thoroughly enjoyed the show. Can't wait for the 2nd season.
Some of the worst fighting I have seen, which kinda defeats the whole point of the series.

Over the past few years, YouTube’s approach to original content has shifted away from scripted movies and TV shows to more Creator-driven content. As part of that, YouTube will reportedly not air Season 3 of Cobra Kai, and let it go to another network.

Update 6/22: Cobra Kai’s third season will premiere on Netflix later this year. The first two seasons will arrive on the streaming service beforehand to give people the chance to binge.

Thanks Netflix. Love this show.
