Years ago we had a similar situation. A flaw on our on-line portal was discovered and posted on MyBroadband. We picked it up here, fixed it, thanked the chap who found it and moved on (at least after the bruises healed from being beaten up for it by the forumites - their favourite passtime, after all! :)).

If changing a digit in an URL is now 'hacking' it must come from the thinking that knowing your 2-times table qualifies you to be an accountant. :rolleyes:

And having to fix that flaw is not an excuse not to give as on OOB lock :p :D

Only in SA where the skill of hacking can be scaled down to the level that all 4 year old are able to do it.
 
I just hacked the mybroadband website. You can do it too.

Follow these simple steps:

Take this URL - http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthr...d-bills-due-to-quot-malicious-hack-quot/page2

and change the last digit to a '1'.

And it takes you here - http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthr...d-bills-due-to-quot-malicious-hack-quot/page1

HOLY. MOTHER. OF. GOD!!!!!!ELEVENTY!!!!ONE

I cannot confirm this just yet, but I suspect that the same security flaw is persistent throughout the whole forum...:eek:

Please, no criminal charges rpm. I do this for the people...

we do have IP addresses of those who accessed personal information of account holders.
