CoJ: exposed bills due to "malicious hack"

They are now blaming their incompetence on malicious hacking... what a joke.

Wow What a bunch of twats!!!

A concerned member of the community tried to inform you of an error in your systems of which you couldn't give a hoot and you call him a hacker. fcking idiots

Same thing with University of mine. Identified a error in they practical test systems and said I hack they system. Any person who see a pop that so similar will know the vulnerability without even trying. The best part is that every time I log on to the pc the program activates, the same programs can be used as viruses etc.

Lesson to learn is to keep quiet.

Typical! What do you expect from a bunch of BEE Appointees / ANC Cronies / Cadres?

That is quite pathetic.

They should be applauding you for finding faults in a system that they can fix it before someone with a more malicious agenda comes along and exploits the problem.

Why can't people admit when there is a mistake?
Then move forward, we all make mistakes that's how we learn.
This attitude is pervasive in SA and is wrong.

Typical knee jerk response by the city of Johannesburg -a "world class city".
This vulnerability has been there since they implemented the system, and probably was figured out long ago by people with lees honorable intentions. Now that it is in the public domain the City want to place blame on anyone but themselves.

Which show? I could still not find the 702 podcast about this anywhere.

The "breaking news" was peddled on the John Robbie show on the 6h30-7h30 bulletins, maybe the tech expert dude.. what's him name Aki.. talked sense into the news room. give him a call..

It was the EWN news report at 6:30 I think, this morning, John Robbies show, didn't hear the 7:00 one (I was outside the carthe Ultra City) but the 7:30 one had no mention of the hacking (according to my sometimes flawed memory), it was all about Mampela Rampele.
