The thing that matters here is that he showed others how to also "hack" the system, thats a big no no in my books

And if he didn't the CoJ would still be diddling its thumbs and ignoring him :erm:
^ but did you give him any money?![]()
So the security was set up by an idiot, but the guy who set up the logging was a pro. Yep totally checks out.“we do have IP addresses of those who accessed personal information of account holders.”
“we do have IP addresses of those who accessed personal information of account holders.”
Actually, we've 'paid' a number of forumites who helped us in the past. Normally with a nice fat data bundle, modem, phone, etc.
That is quite pathetic.
They should be applauding you for finding faults in a system that they can fix it before someone with a more malicious agenda comes along and exploits the problem.
But Richard Nene stated that no personal information of account holders was compromised.
Thread necro//bump... did anything ever come of the threatened criminal case?
Lol, I'm referring to the guy who "hacked the website". Magicdude4eva?Yes, House got banned.

The case is still ongoing. No-one has been charged and I remain the "main suspect". Last year a number of ISPs have received subpoenas against users from MyBB - there was talk that CoJ wanted to prosecute some 300 people (but then there was also confusion that it was 300 charges).
There was also a "glitch" with evidence at Dimension Data (different opinions rumors: best evidence rule / chain of custody violated / authenticity)
Then there was some issue that CoJ struggled to get affidavits from their own staff and lastly there was mention that IOs tried to canvas rate-payers affected to open criminal charges to demonstrate damages occurred. Last time my legal team communicated with CCU was in August 2015 (August 2016 marks the 3-year anniversary).
If/when this case sees a court-room it will be highly embarrassing for CoJ and all the suppliers involved and it would have been honestly better if the CoJ / prosecution would just let it go and worry about more important matters.
