I'm not quite sure where to post this, but I'm hoping Jannie or VCData will see this here and be able to take the appropriate action.

I've just had a call from Elite Mobile and I wish to draw to Vodacom's attention the fact that Elite Mobile are misrepresenting their products. Now, forgetting my hatred for telemarketers and the fact that the telemarketer continued to try to persuade me to buy the product after I had politely indicated I'm not interested, I was disturbed by the fact that they promised me that unused data at the end of the month would roll over for an additional 60 days. I mentioned to the telemarketer that this was incorrect upon which he insisted that it is indeed so and that, since the call was being recorded, he could guarantee that I would receive the 60 day rollover. After my insisting this was incorrect he called his manager - John Naidoo - and he confirmed that the unused data at the end of the month would roll over for an additional 60 days. I tried to explain the 60 days principle to him (beginning of month A to end of month B) but my attempts were futile.

I could be horribly wrong and missed a change in VC's rollover policy, but in the event that I am correct I would suggest VC contact Elite Mobile and clarify this with them to avoid considerable unhappiness from some clients in the future.

Hi Speedster

I just received a phonecall on my cellphone from Elite Mobile (I think it was them), from Shirley asking if I had prepaid. She said my number came up for a Flexi 100 deal only for prepaid customers. I asked her what the deal was and she kept asking me if I was prepaid. I said I wasn't going to tell her (yes I'm a stickler!!) and she said fine I don't have to answer her question but if I'm not a prepaid customer then she's wasting her time (couldn't agree more!!)...I asked her where she got my number from and in her mid sentence the call hung up. Very strange. I have now switched off my phone...what a waste of my time!!!! Date/Time... 2014/12/19 at 11:21am~

Hmmm...metinks the 'Microsoft people' may be up to a new deal...or similar con artists out there...drop the call if you hear from Elite Mobile. I went to their site and got warnings about an unsigned security certificate. It looks like a normal site where you can buy phones etc.

Be aware!

:confused::sick::erm::wtf:

Saying "**** off" works fairly well. The agent stopped badgering me, asked me not to swear, and then hung up. #win
