Confederations Cup Fixtures draw

I applied for tickets for the italia vs brazil game. I did it through the fifa website. Was told it would take 4-5 days for them to let me know whether I got it.

me too
and the semis

the italy vs brazil game is the best one in jhb/pta

the rustenbergers are getting spoiled :)

Well said!

It is like this thoughout the world! Sometimes the atmosphere is just as good at these public fan parks. It's not like everyone who wants a ticket to any game can get one.

Reducing ticket prices to the level where literally everyone could afford to go, would not help at all.

wont get to see fabregas or torres :(((((((
unless they play in the ellis park semis

Screw the atmosphere. This will probably be my only chance to see my heroes live in action. Maybe im selfish but id rather go to a stadium alone if i had to, than share the carnival atmoshere thats in the fan parks. Besides you can always join the guys outside after the match:)
I think its only fair that all South Africans get a chance to buy a ticket. Even if its only 'Category 10' tickets hey:)

The thing is is that Safirs have been under the influence that all would get a chance to watch etc. And where capetownguy is right in a sense..I mean look at the EPL...arsenal vs chelsea =+- £48 (if I remember correctly). On one hand, it is lovely that everyone might get the chance to watch, but on the other hand...I really don't want the world to see a bunch of people standing, jumping, blowing vuvuzelas like there is no tomorrow with masks of nelson mandela. By all means do the african thing...but please lets have some class at the WC games..blow and stand...but when their is reason...respect the German tourist behind you who now can't see 'cos you huge hat has blocked his view...I don't know...I somehow see the non african community getting quite annoyed after 90min of their hearing being ruined and having to move to see all the time.

i dont see them getting annoyed as they'll be drunk.
the world actually wants to see vuvuzelas and south africa's own flavour for football even if its a horrible noise. i think the mix of cultures will be great even if 30% of the seats are reserved for FIFA.

You having a laugh with your £48 for a arsenal v Chelsea. If you lucky to get a ticket as they normaly sold out before they reach public sale.

Seen tickets for this months game already going for close to £200+.

yes. I am just quoting the Arsenal websites ticket prices for normal EPL games. Obviously CL matches for example will be way more.

I am not too sure...I am not saying you are wrong...but I haven't come across any that actually like it...might just be what the committee is saying as they want to create an african experience.

Those are the cheap seats which get sold out long before they even get to public sale.
Tickets first get sold to Season ticket holders-Members (different levels of members)-Public.

CL group matches are actually the easiest to get tickets for by the way.

Yeah and some clubs break the season tickets into groups...like Gold and Red members etc. I realize the pricing. All I said was the £48 is what is on their site. The ones, as you say, that get sold out sometimes a month before the match.

There were vuvuzela's in Germany.

With regard to the big hats, a lot of the Germans were sporting the Mohawks in black red and yellow. This gets in the way too. Lots also had huge clown afro's in black red and yellow too. I even remember an Italian with a hat that looked like a football pitch. The noise and hearing being ruined - you very mistaken if you believe any fans expect anything but a loud crowd.

The noise, and dress up, are all part of the game buddy. Class is reserved for the hospitality suites!
