Connecting to Huawei E5776

I recently took over a data contract from a buddy who switched over to ADSL.

Above device came with the contract.

I want to use the Huawei as gateway to my wired network.

I have tried using an Edimax 6408 in WISP mode without luck.

I found an old Linksys wrt54gl and flashed it with ddrt,hoping I could solve the issue that way.

Still no luck,which leads me to believe there could be some setting on the huawei that's preventing this???

I can see that both devices connect to the huawei (in the stats page of huawei) but cannot browse,also cannot ping huawei from wired side.

Any advice would be appreciated. I have been battling this issue for a few weeks now.

It is connected. If I connect wirelessly with devices, I am able to browse.
