Hi,
I've been using the 8ta 120gb promotion for 4 months now and everything was perfect until 2 or 3 weeks ago. I plug the usb modem to a router to split the connection. Recently the connection has been dropping for no reason, and it doesn't reconnect by itself like it used to. When it happens my usb modem blinks green (I don't know what it means). I have to unplug and plug the modem, or restart the router for it to reconnect. It can be very annoying, because I won't get emails or messages or other notifications on my phone, and have no idea that the connection is off.
Has anyone else experienced this? Or is there a problem with my usb modem?

I'm having the same issues with both my 8ta USB modems in the Gardens area.
The connection works fine for a few minutes and then all traffic dies.
It stays connected, but there is no throughput whatsoever.
I have to literally pull out the modem and start again.
It's very annoying. Can someone from 8ta investigate the Gardens / Oranjezicht towers?

Seems like my sim was the problem, it completely stopped working, looks like it's dead after only 4 months of use
I've had an mtn sim card for 6 years now working just fine, 8ta can't even provide good quality sim cards!!!

Hi sandylou

Please email [email protected]

Please also provide your 8ta number, ICCID (20 digit number that starts with 89270), contact details and the store details where you purchased the SIM.

Thank you
8ta
