Conrad Steyn is the Barnstone Director of Business Application and Information Services. Conrad established and managed one of the largest application maintenance outsourcing support centers in South Africa, providing global support for an international mining and resources company. He has worked extensively in the mining and resource industry, and in the manufacturing, beverages and pharmaceutical sectors. Conrad has extensive business re-engineering experience and was formerly a senior partner at Deloitte Consulting. He specialised in operational and performance improvement, and spearheaded an initiative to build the application maintenance outsourcing capability in that company. Major clients included BHP Billiton, Mittal Steel, Anglo American.
