Ultimately the Xbox 360 is about gaming and taking media to the next level. With the recent NXE (New Xbox Experience) update that happened on the 19th of November all Xbox 360s around the world got a complete UI refresh breathing a new wow factor into the console and paving the way for the online media dream that Microsoft has.
Most people argue that the PS3 is a must have because of the Blu-Ray drive, sure its great, its an awesome console, but unfortunately it can't become price competitive to the Xbox 360 range due to the increased costs from requiring some form of hard drive and secondly from the bundled Blu-Ray drive.
One thing to note is that the Xbox 360 prices can't stay low like this in South Africa for too much longer as the exchange rate will soon affect the price of the consoles. So my recommendation is to buy one while you can at the current price.
