Contract cancellation

What would be the implications of cancelling a contract with 8-ta?

I have 10GB+10GB contract with them and would like to know what are the charge's involved and the process?

As there is no device included, the cancellation cost surely cannot be to high except maybe for some admin?
 
Depends when you signed.
Pre-CPA: You probably owe them the remainder of the payments on the contract.
Post-CPA: Remainder owed on device, and a 'reasonable' penalty of not more than 10% of remaining payments on the contract

Despite being under their 'coverage map' and previously having proper coverage and testing multiple sim's and devices I still am...

1. Unable to connect for large periods.
2. Receive poor service when I do connect for a limited time.

Seems only fair that I should be able to cancel my contract, as I am not receiving the service that is expected and was previously offered at the start of the contract.
 
Did you read the small print before signing the contract with them? Read carefully - it states clearly 'connection and speeds are not guaranteed'. They will hit you and hit you hard. Never canceled 8ta before but did cancel Telkom and they are basically the same. Just contact them and let us know how much is the penalty.

Has your problems been reported as yet? If yes - please provide us with your reference number. We have a billing FAQ sticky which explains the cancellation process. We also have a sticky wrt connection and coverage issues which is used to address these issues.
