Seems some of AWS services is still going through seacom? Start out at 160ms then jump to 200ms for the remainder of the game.

Only some directly peered traffic at LINX is flowing over WACS from the UK for now (thus lower latency), so certain routes will still follow the seacom path with higher latency.

Think till tonight will be enough time to test for stability? Or even sooner ?

Does that mean it's something someone else have to change?

How long will it take till all traffic is flowing through WACS ?

No, we will make the change ourselves once we're happy with the stability. Our WACS connection is currently up, but carrying a limited amount of traffic until we switch over.

We are busy moving traffic over to WACS as primary and off the Seacom path.

Have you guys discovered the reason what is up with the local Valve public servers? Dota2 and CSGO are in really bad shape. Some people in JHB have no issues and almost everyone else is having issues. This seems to be a widespread issue and Valve themselves are numb to quiet on queries made. From my experience, I am going into week 4 with this persistent issue, and last night it was particularly bad.

Not aware of it to be honest, what is the issue you are experiencing?

Immense loss, and erratic pings at times. This isn't unique to Cool Ideas. I know that other people are having the same issue.
Do you have some IPs for me? We can reach out to their NOC and NAP for escalation.

I will have to jump on again to see which hosts which IPs, and I am about to be entertained by Eskom's loadshedding.

It is just good to know that you guys are aware of the issue in the case if any other person raises the issue with you guys. For the duration of the issue, it is silly that those who are managing said Valve servers are silent on the issue, no lead time no turnaround time no communication, this being said in the light of Valve having a viable and rather big established market in South Africa for local hosting.
