AH won me over by having a very functional client zone.
Some people don't care about it, but it makes a big difference to me.
It did seem like CI had slightly better ping times but i'm not a gamer.
@AfriNatic is also a bit better at client relations than the CI guys in my humble opinion.

It's going to be a great customer service battle going forward, especially since I heard that AH is buying CI soon, or maybe they already have. I have a friend with CI and he will not change, he is very happy with the service. I am happy with AH, but if either one of us has serious issues down the line, we are no doubt changing to the other or even looking outside these two. So far, so good, and enjoying it.
