If we go on their election campaigns alone, surely all parties need to rethink their strategies..
ANC: A better life for all.
DA: Vote to win / Stop Zuma
COPE: DA must join them if they want to be successful (From PB. TBH I haven't seen that.)

Only 3 million votes counted and almost all rural.The way i see it,Cope is doing better than the ID with these votes,even in WC where Id used to be strong.
When the real votes start to come in i expect those numbers to change very dramatically.The ID sadly will just become a regional party.
Word just came in from Enews:Cope is making inroads in the WC...votes from Mitchells Plain...A DA stronghold.

True, I agree with that. All I'm saying is that writing their campaign off as a failure is patently false. I think the Stop Zuma campaign was silly. Obviously he was big in the news and they tried to capitalize off that. I'm sure they'll rethink their campaign before the next election though
And let’s look at the Stop Zuma campaign. It is clear that a lot of the downtrodden masses view Zuma as someone who is close to them, who will listen to their gripes and do something about that (something which unfortunately for them I fear they will find is not true).
So given that it seemed the majority of the black poor population see Zuma in this light, a Stop Zuma campaign can’t really get you that bigger push in terms of votes. At best it is a consolidating type move.

No but they have not done enough to get the black vote, they have a white women in power for goodness sake, as good as she is this is not bringing in the black vote.
Find a decent black guy and get out there and let the people know your a party for all races and not just whites,colours,indians,lebanose, portguese, italian, chinese, sorry don't want to offend gary in calling some people whites again.
Gary is going to cry o why should they go black that is racist but in life you need to be realistic and in this Country a white run party has no 0 chance of winning. Change the outlook on your party and look to the black community more to get votes.
yea milo this is my point, the DA need someone to look realistically at were they are going and how they can there.

Stop Zuma seems to me to have appealed to people who were already core DA voters. If the DA wants to get beyond 12 /15% they're going to have to reach out to people outside of that group. And "Stop Zuma is not the way to go.

killadoob. It was the old apartheid doctrine that anyone who was not white was inferior and had no soul. They lumped all of the other races into one group "non-whites" and treated them as inferior. Are you wanting to take us back to those days? You want only two categories, "black and white"?... and throw everyone who is not "pure-black" into the white category?
