Officer shot and killed chasing robbers in Limpopo
A warrant officer was shot dead while chasing suspected armed robbers on the road between Siloam and Thohoyandou on Monday evening, Limpopo police said.
Colonel Ronel Otto said two officers were patrolling the road, where there was a recent increase in armed robberies of business owners after they had closed for the day, when they received information about a suspicious vehicle.
After spotting the vehicle, the officers pursued it. It then turned off onto a gravel road and the occupants opened fire on the police.

And in other news:
There ya go. I say execute the bastads as the ANC wont!!
I read the first two pages and gave up...
Has your experiences in SA really made you guys that morally deficient- yes DEFICIENT- South Africans are amongst nationalities that thank God for every second thing they get, but you have absolutely no moral values, none. When you condone MURDER, whatever the circumstances, then you are lower than the criminal that has been executed, and lower than the thug policeman that murdered the criminal.
They already did much more than they needed to, they had the opportunity to arrest him, yet they chose to execute the guy...and they do it because of worse thugs (yes because of your values) on forums and in society that condone murder. You are nothing better than the criminal who shot at the police and nothing better than the thugs who murdered him.
Your society is imploding around you because of your attitude, not because of the crime rate.
You are welcome...
I know. But it's quite fitting to place this thread in perspective especially for all the criminal apologists in this thread.
Apples and oranges.
Like hell. Only in your mind. Cops are tired of being on the receiving end to be shot at and will take the law in it's own hands, excuse the pun. More criminal executions will go a long way to calm the storm. It's very simple.
When farmers and police are killed its just news and statistics and there are "reasons" presented for it is it not? But when a criminal is killed there is an outrage? Bloody sick indeed!

Not surprised you made a jump to farm murders but anyway. A police officer being shot while pursuing a criminal, doesn't give another cop the permission or justification to execute a suspect.
This guy wasn't a suspect.

Had he been arrested before he was shot?
So that now makes him a "suspected" criminal as he have some "human" rights? Fark me, you are something!
And you are not?
You make some wild statements on this forum.
That's my privilege under freedom of speech.![]()
I guess you should maybe allow some of us opinions as well then.

Be my guest. Just don't flinch when I air my opinion about your opinion.![]()
A criminal is someone who has been charged with the crime, until then he is a suspect. Evidence of him shooting at police would have proven him guilty, thus the charge.

Johannesburg - A man employed at a bottle store in Lewisham, Krugersdorp, said he asked Khulekani Mpanza what the police activity a few metres behind him was all about moments before Mpanza was shot dead.
Thapelo Segatso said Mpanza was walking very fast on foot in the opposite direction of where police were searching a Toyota Conquest.
"It seemed like he was holding a phone. I asked him what was happening up there," said Segatso.
"He didn't say anything. Instead he pulled a gun and started shooting at the police who were now following behind him."
