Cost of data bundle

Are there better deals available for roaming data.
I'm an engineering consultant.
At home/office I have ADSL with costs as follows:
Telkom DSL Fastest R 362.28
Telkom Line Rental R 116.93
Afrihost Uncapped 4096 kbps ADSL R 497.00
Total R 976.21
When traveling I need internet/e-mail
I have a Vodacom monthly contract 600 Mb R 249.00
Months when I don't travel, I pay this unnecessarily
and when I do travel, I run out easily and have to
buy top-ups for the same price.
Has anybody got any advice?

You need to give an estimate of how much data you use on average - on the ADSL and on Vodacom 3G before anyone can give you any meaningful suggestions.

I'm happy with ADSL cost. My data on ADSL is +- 20 GIG per month.
When traveling, I would like 2 to 3 GIG on a roaming bundle.
With Vodacom this will cost R 600 to R 700 per month - not worthwhile.
