Could it be? Diablo3!?!

Well it seems to be confirmed, they are announcing D3 this weekend, found this on www.worldofwar.net

Rushster sends word from our sister site Diabloii.net that there is a definite word on the WWI Announcement:


With this week's speculation over the Blizzard teasers, more and more reports in the media, and numerous tips coming direct us at IncGamers from reliable inside industry sources in the past 24 hours, we now have confirmation from inside sources to say that Diablo 3 WILL be announced on Saturday at WWI Paris 2008.

With that in mind, we would like to invite Diabloii.net readers to submit their questions for us to ask Blizzard.

This is extremely exciting for all of us here at Diabloii.net. For the past 10 years we have been supporting the Diablo community and to have something completely new to sink our teeth into is fantastic. We will be at the show on Saturday for the announcement and also the press conference which is directly after, so expect reports from the show floor live, interviews and much more.


With this in mind, we are still interested in what the purple walrus might look like o.O

I'd take that with pinch of salt since Diabloii.net said the same thing last year :p Besides, I'll only believe it when its on Blizzard's official website.

If D3 does comes out I really hope it uses the most out of the quad core? Make me feel so much better about buying the thing :p

No, Blizzard already announced WOTLK ages ago. Why would Blizzard go through all the trouble of staging this for a game that they already announced? Now if WOTLK was going to be released on the day that WWI started then I'd agree with you, but the realese date for WOTLK is sometime next month.

It has to be something new and the chances that it's Diablo3 is big. If I'm not mistaken isn't it the 8th aniversary of Diablo2 this weekend? :cool:

Yes. According to Wikipedia, Diablo 2 was released on the 29th June 2000.

I agree that Blizzard is making too much fuss over just release dates for WOTLK or SC2. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for D3

I think Blizzard is the most amazing company out there, they look at the market and they find their hole. Think how far RPG games have come as a result of Diablo 2. Titan Quest, would have just been a dream without Diablo 2.
Legendary Blizzard is... Who else could ensure we are kept at the edge of our seats waiting in anticipation for the next splash image or next possible sighting of a game that has blown people away without even a hint of gameplay
