Countdown to vape free year (Help)

I have been off the vape since Sunday. Going to go nicotine free next week. The throat feeling is basically the annoying part I miss. I gave all my vape shyt
away now. I know my start date is off

Hey guys/ girls (Marcel, I know you reading this),

So by next year I want to quit vaping (I was a smoker before but swapped to vaping in 2014). I am pretty much tired of being reliant (addicted) to something that I must pick up everyday ,charge etc. Can you share your experience with quitting ? Tips tricks etc (I have watched the Andrew Huberman episode on quitting smoking and vaping) but how long in your opinion does it take for the actual cravings to go away etc?

I started smoking in high school so this habit of nicotine is pretty much drilled into me. :(

Edit: I would like to add if you are a smoker and can't quit please switch to vaping if you can, I wouldn't be alive right now if I didn't make the switch.
Similar story, and you know me from the shop I had :)

One day I was on my way to a lunch appointment, and I was too lazy to make liquid, so I left everything at home. That was about 5 years go ... never vaped again

I smoked entjies for 27 years
2 packs a day
3 on weekends
I quit entjies in May 2014
Went onto vaping
Started on 18mg nicoteine
Loved it
In 2018 I moved to 6mg
Then 3mg
And then I mixed 0mg with my 3mg
Following week on 19 October 2018 my boss announced he is resigning
I immediately felt this huge burden lifted off my shoulders
He is a narc cvnt of note
I stopped vaping right there on the spot

Sure I missed the nicoteine for following few weeks but it was no where near as bad as it had been over the 27 years that I tried giving up entjies

I just had 10min of sitting under a tree vaping a strong tobacco juice. The nicotine hitting so hard I just stared into distance relaxing without a care in the world. Happy days, nothing beats that feeling
Years ago I had an Eng kakking me out. Lit a cigarette.... As he continued yapping i just blow smoke circles and hear fokol.

Ex smoker vaped for a year then off cigs permanently. Switch to vaping only was painless, then did it by gradually lowering the nicotine content, helps that I mixed my own juice. Kept telling myself 0% juice means it's just the mechanics, the ritual of it all, there's no more physical addiction. Worked for me, put down the vape one day and just never picked it up again..
Quoting my previous post for reference so I don't have to repeat it, but JCvD's post triggered a dream I had the other night.

I've never had a craving for cigs after I had the last one since the vape had taken over that craving for me completely, then by the time I stopped vaping I was down to 0% nicotine so also didn't feel a craving for anything except maybe as I say a slight longing for the mechanics of the thing..

but..

The other night I had a dream so vivid and real that when I woke up I felt like I had left a part of me behind in my dream.

Only lasted a second or so until I oriented myself, but I remember I dreamt how I was lighting up a cig & taking that first long luxurious drag on it and it was the most glorious thing I have experienced in a long time. I guess I had been co caught up in the effort of quitting that I completely forgot how enjoyable it was/can be to be smoking. Or maybe the bother with cravings, ash, the smell, late night anxiousness & early morning panic over only having one left etc started overpowering the remembrance of pleasure, who knows?
