Coup/protest in the US

How deluded do you have to be to believe that Fox would burn $787mil just to hurt the man whose rectum they've been slurping for the past 7 years?
Would you care to explain why Fox ignored the counsel of its own lawyers who said they'd win the case, if money is so important to them? :)

You're right, most lawyers I know go into trial saying that they'll probably lose. That's how it works, right?

Maybe the lawyers were scrambling because they had their arses handed to them in the trial? Just thumbsucking really. Corporations don't give away 3/4bil to save a few months of litigation, ever.

Yeah, the thumbsucking isn't very convincing.

And you are exactly correct, corporations do not give away $750 million when the lawyers say they can avoid those costs if their interest is primarily financial. :)

Which begs the question as to why their recommendations were overruled.

SBF said he thought of offering Trump a billion dollars to go away, but he said that ultimately he didn't think Trump would take the deal. There's no reason other people who value power more than money wouldn't have made similar calculations.

The loss really didn't hurt Trump at all. The only people who were hurt by it were Fox Corp's reputation and Tucker "tie and blazer with flip flops" Carlson

No, what it did was set up a narrative, so that when other companies where threatened with legal action they stopped reporting Trump's side of the story. You might not think that is significant, but clearly people were scared that people might believe Trump.

You mean the falsehoods they were spreading?

None of their accusations or BS was ever proven anywhere, no matter how many charlatans or 'Krakens' they were trying to trot out.

Utter shambles.

You seem to have missed the point. Oh well. :)

Then you need better lawyers.

Btw, why do you need so many lawyers ...
... oh wait, nvm, I don't want to pry into your personal life.. Sympathies.

Then, along came Elon Musk ... and they have never stopped crying since.
