Any dates for Cell-C 4G network in Kimberley and Mosselbay

Hey guys.

Anybody know when CELLC will roll-out their new 4G network in Mosselbay and Kimberley?
 
Coverage in Ocean View & Kommetjie

Is 4G of Ceel C working in the Ocean View Kommetjie area? Also how does it compare if working or if not workingt any idea when we can expect it ?

Coverage map says yes. I will be in Kommetjie on Sunday, will do some speed tests if I remember.
 
Cell-C must do something about this pathetic internet speeds

My browsing speeds are so bad that I can't even open most international websites.

Local websites are also very slowly and sometimes doesn't even want to load. What is the problem?????

Please don't tell me I just wasted R1500 on crappy internet. I'm in the Brackenfell area. Had decent speeds until about the 25th of November. Since then, well, I rather browse on my Blackberry.
 
Tonight just at 8PM, I also lost HSPA+ signal and getting only EDGE now. The whole day it was OK otherwise. Are more of you having issues at the moment?
 
I have a couple of E1820's running really well here in Joburg - no problems.

For years I've lived in a 3G 'dead-spot' that Vodacom and MTN have simply refused to cover. This not somewhere out in th middle of nowhere, but in a built-up area in Joburg.

For the first time ever I actually have decent 3G speeds in my home thanks to CellC, 3Mb/s+ most of the time . No, it's not as stable as ADSL, but this is wireless, I don't expect it to be as stable as a fixed line connection.
 
I understand that it is wireless and that it's not stable all of the time. I can live with that. But if you open a local website and you have to refresh 5 or 6 times before it opens then there must be something wrong. My Blackberry Torch on MTN has got much better reception and speed than my Cell-C modem.
 
Something is not right with Cell C's network. I have the same issue in Nelspruit. The connection is on Edge most of the time, and Edge is DEAD slow. Everything was fine and my speed test was at 10Mb/s, but after the 7 day refund period it went dead. Now I must still buy Vodacom bundles every month as Cell C is totally unreliable. I think they can not supply the network that they have promised.

I think I have wasted R3000.
 
seems to be a big network issue at the moment.. i have been stuck on edge for 3 days now.
 
Where i live, which is outside the coverage area, speeds are lousy.

At work, inside the coverage area, my internet is flying. No issues on my side.

Must be where you live dude. Issue limited to your tower or something.

Have you told Trevor?
 
This is definitely a general issue. Had a fantastic 1st 7 days, then the past couple of days it's off an on, could be for hours just on Edge, then it would switch back to HSPA for a bit, then back to Edge.
 
is it just me, or are some ppl having a great first 7 days, then the speeds drop?

and the return period is 7 days

oh well i'll buying my 50gb promo this w'end - lets hope this issue is sorted when i sign up
