Cpanel vs Plesk

Hi Guys

I have been looking at the features of these two for Linux servers, and notice that Plesk is about half the price.
Are there any special reasons why Cpanel is still so popular, despite the price changes they made no so long ago?

Ease of use, both for customers and administrators and support..

Plesk has not caught up..

They're both pretty much the same.

They're both owned by the same company after all.

They're both pretty easy to use and setup. Perhaps Cpanel is maybe a little easier.

I found Plesk better for windows hosting and cPanel better for linux hosting.

I prefer cPanel as a hosting controller if given the choice

I personally prefer Plesk more but not really by much as stated here, they're practically the same, but I definitely prefer Cockpit vastly to these.

Have you considered DirectAdmin?
May worth giving it a bash and it’s not owned by the same crowd that own cPanel + Plesk and therefore substantially cheaper.

DirectAdmin gets my vote first over cPanel
