Whoah, crucial cricket on at the moment and didn't even notice. World cup qualifiers on in Zim. Zim need 70 from 75 with 8 wickets in hand chasing Nepal's 290

I think this first match of the Ashes is going to end up being a draw. Lead is now 200, i think Aus would not risk chasing it down aggressively.

Bairstow's return has been somewhat bitter sweet... Decent with the bat in the first innings but some crucial errors behind the stumps...

Hmm, not really I'd say. Both teams still well in it. Whoever wins (be it Australia's batting or England's bowling) will have had to have played superbly. I wouldn't want to be batting on this day 5 pitch. Similarly, the bowlers aren't just going to have their wickets handed to them. It's the perfect test match.

Let's hope the weather allows for a result tomorrow.
 
It would be good if we could put in a pop-up poll inside the thread to see which way we're all leaning on this match. 281 is possible weather permitting. But a crucial wicket or two will put the wobbles into the best of sides. Regardless, I am looking forward to day 5.
