Josh Tongue to Khawaja, THATS OUT!! Bowled!!

Lunch 73-1

As long as they don't lose a clutch of wickets straight after lunch, I'd say Australia edged this session. Only 1 down and 73 on the board after losing the toss.

And it a beauty also. The swing on that ball to come back to hit the stumps.
This is not an easy pitch and bit disappointing for England not to get more wickets in the first session. Let's see what happens after lunch.

Well, they did what they do best. Dropping catches.

Wonder if England made a mistake by bowling first

Difficult to say. Had England held their catches, Australia could have conceivably been 3 or 4 down for not a lot, making the decision to bowl look inspired. As it is, England are bowling Smith and Labuschagne back into serious (and ominous) form here.

Tea, Day 1 - what a session for Australia. 117 runs and the wicket of Warner in it. England absolutely wasted the conditions and offered juicy freebies to both Smith and Marnus. Now the Aussie pair has added close to 100 runs for this wicket. So far it has been Australia's Day as they did most parts right - wait for the bad ball and punish, ignoring the edges, the near misses, the appeals and the overturns.

Yip, they wasted opportunities.

The average first-innings score at Lord's Cricket Ground is 310, while the average second-innings score is 299, the average third-innings score is 257, and the average fourth-innings score is 154

Yip, Aus doing well.

England are looking at a serious mountain to climb here.
