Do you even cricket?

Its not nearly as main stream as soccer. And that means you don't have the same amount of top tier teams competing.

To say you want more teams in the world cup is roughly the same as saying you demand 20 teams in f1 or bafana banana playing in the fifa world cup

Cricket doesn't care about growing the game.
This format insures India will play atleast 9 games.
That is all the ICC and the TV companies want.
They changed the format after 2007 cause India and Pakistan went home early.

Cricket is one of the few sports who prefers to decrease the teams playing at the WC.

There weren't that many top teams in football when the world cups started. Teams aren't going to improve by sitting at home.

Atleast Bafana has a fair chance to qualify.

I dont see why they cant have the qualifiers as part of the World Cup as a precursor to the big teams coming in.

Scotland/holland + WI may not make it and they've beaten some of the original 8 qualified teams plenty of times.

Do you not want to grow the game? No one said it's as popular as soccer but now that you mention it, surely it's more popular than rugby and thus can adopt the 4x4 pool stage groups?

I want the game to grow, simple.

8 is enough.
It shouldn't drag on for 3 months.

There is a series of qualifiers before the WC where the other teams can play.

I think the 2007 World cup with 16 teams is still being played, should end any day now.

I know he was sent around the park in the first test, but a brave call to leave Scott Boland out. Think he would have been good at Lords. Lots of grass on the pitch apparently. Still, Starc is a more than able replacement. Guile for raw pace. And able to hold a bat.

Ponting said the same thing, similar issue with england picking tongue instead of woake(who has good stats @ lords).

Would've dropped Bairstow for Foakes. Not having their specialist WK bit them in the arse previous match. They still have 6 top order batsmen left to play Baz-ball . Obviously, at the end of this match JB will have taken 10 catches, dropped none, 3 awesome legside stumpings and scored 180 in total at a run a ball ..... :D
