Handshakes all around, as Bangladesh and their fans take in a historic series win against Pakistan. It's a first-ever clean sweep at home against these opponents, and one that was a consummate team performance - especially from being 116 for 6 in the first innings.
Bangladesh came out this morning needing three wickets, but for most of the first hour things really weren't going according to plan. Both Rizwan and Sajid were scoring freely, and the target was steadily becoming shorter. But Shanto kept smartly rotating his options in the faith that one of them would deliver the breakthrough, and in the end it was Taijul that came to the fore - as he so often does.
Dark day for England (and not just the fact that bad light has stopped play). England 118/8 after being inserted by New Zealand. Harry Brook got to 56 and then got out. He was the only one to provide any resistance, although it seems he lived a charmed life, being gifted a few chances.
Remains to be seen if they get back on the field. It's looking pretty gloomy.
The more things change the more they stay the same...
Stokes said during his press conference after England's win that he was looking forward to sharing "a proper beer with the boys" in the dressing room after his team had wrapped up a much-needed win.
Seems he followed ducket's aus tour example and forgot the way to the dressing room and ended up at the night club.Their esteemed leader setting the example, lol
I guess one proper beer was not enough.
