Didn't realise there is a day/night test match between England and the West Indies starting at 15:00.

WI 168 all out... and England have enforced the follow on. It's the right call. They lead by 346 and conditions are favourable to bowling.

Woeful by the Windies :(

Who? I've been sleeping for a week.

England pace guru Ottis Gibson closing in on South Africa role
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/cr...e-guru-Ottis-Gibson-closing-South-Africa.html

England's fast-bowling coach Ottis Gibson is likely to be confirmed as South Africa's new head coach after the end of the Edgbaston Test against West Indies, leaving the ECB with a tricky decision over when to name his replacement.

Gibson, who had been contracted by the ECB until next year, will continue to work with England until the end of the current three-match series.

But with a compensation package nearing agreement between the ECB and Cricket South Africa, he will not be around for next month's white-ball games.

It certainly was woeful...I cannot help thinking that England will be desperately under-cooked when the really important stuff starts in November, considering both WI and SA just laid over and died.

WI rolled over. SA bent over.

Same difference ...Either way, England are likely to go into the Ashes without having faced any meaningful opposition this summer which cannot be good for their chances.

I really think it is time to set up a two tier system now with the big 3 (IND/AUS/ENG) and the the best of the rest being in one league and all the others in tier 2.
