Cricket: International Discussion Thread

are we going to start a seperate thread for the BBL this year or keep it in here? or does that not count as international?
there was no thread for the CPL was there?

India plays SL and Bangladesh as much as Aus and NZ play each other. Especially when they need to get out of a rut :p.

Yes, yes, I know tours are planned well in advance.

It sure helps when your neighbours are of sufficient calibre and so close by.

I mean we could organise tours with Zim all year round, but how would that lift our game?

NZ have been pretty busy this past few months...lots of new names in their team also. Rebuilding happening all over that side of the world.

England 167/2 (49.2 ov)

Keaton Jennings 89 not out, looks like a good knock on debut.

Just in case any one is not watching the ongoing slaughter in Chennai:

England 477
India 748/6 (188.1 ov)
India lead by 271 runs with 4 wickets remaining in the 1st innings

Last 10 ovs 82/0 RR 8.20

England, it seems, have either given up or are clueless. Either way, they are being mercilessly butchered.

After Rahul meekly missed out on a double, Karun Nair is millimetres away from a triple (considering he never got a 50 before this, he is making hay big-time!!!).

Edit: Nair's first 2 test match scores were 13 & 4. Just wow!

What's the point - this will most likely go to a draw.

Hmm, wouldn't be surprised to see a declaration shortly and then watch as India crowd the bat and just bowl Jadeja and Ashwin uninterrupted for the entire innings.

And there it is... 303* (381) 32x4 4x6 and SR 79.52

/doffs cap

I would be putting my money on a demoralising capitulation ahead of a draw. 190+ overs in the field and being butchered the way they have? Also, they haven't shown metal in the previous 2 matches. Overwhelming odds on a result here.

we can but hope for an English collapse.

India will have 9 men aroudn the bat

More likely than a draw. They have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Kohli loves winning. Even more so at home.

We are in for a nail biting finish. England are 199/7
