'M lovin' it.

I hope they get bowled out again today ;)

/ in other news Bangladesh v WI has been an absolute cracking test...

England v India

Day 3 - Stumps

India 521/8d
England 191 & 111/0 (f/o) (38.0 ov)

England trail by 219 runs with 10 wickets remaining

West Indies v Bangladesh

West Indies 527/4d & 273
Bangladesh 556 & 167 (54.3 ov)

West Indies won by 77 runs

What a great Test match! West Indies come out on top, but they know that there were lots of volleys from Bangladesh to their top-spin serves. Tino Best was the star of the final day, picking up his first five-for in the process. No doubt he appears so pumped. Bit of a surprise as it was Narine who was expected to make an impact.

Apart from El Tino, there were lots of top-performances from both teams. Sohag Gazi had a great debut match, Kieran Powell scored two tons, Naeem Islam scored his maiden century, etc. Overall, a well-fought match and I must admit, a great one to commentate on.

Kieran Powell has been named the Man of the Match for his twin centuries in the Test.

Darren Sammy: " Bangladesh played really really well, but credit must go to my bowlers and our batsmen. All in all, a good team effort. It turned out to be a very good Test wicket after 1000 runs in the first two innings, but there was something in the final stages of the match and I am glad our bowlers imposed themselves. The team has a whole new belief and we are trying to get more consistent in Tests. We are looking to improve with every game."

Mushfiqur Rahim: "The boys really worked hard. In this Test, we competed well in all the sessions. Congratulations to Gazi on a great debut match. Test cricket is the biggest challenge and we don't play that many, but we really did well in the first innings, but lack of partnerships in the second let us down. They bowled very well, but it was down to the lack of partnerships. We are 1-0 down but we have lots of positives from this Test and hopefully we can come back hard."

Huge grats to the Windies! :D

Meh, Cook and Prior are irritating the hell out of me but they are doing a great job trying to salvage some pride for England. Hope India really rips them open in the morning session though.

Ah Bangladesh looked like they could clinch it!

Yeah fealt sorry for them but at least a score of 500+ against a major test nation will be a huge boost for them. If they can remain calm they should be in with a good shout next test match.

New Zealand v Sri Lanka

New Zealand 221 & 118
Sri Lanka 247 & 93/0 (18.3 ov)

Sri Lanka won by 10 wickets

End of match: The débutante has the joy of hitting the winning runs on début. After an evenly matched second day, the third was all Sri Lanka's. New Zealand have extended their losing streak to five now, having lost two each to West Indies and India before this. Going back to the horrors of the mid-90s where they endured another horrible slump. Bring back Flem.

It's all about the batting isn't it? We've talked about this before, but the collective loss of form is causing these defeats. Makes you wonder why there wasn't a request to keep BJ Watling for the Tests.

Luke Winslade wants heads to roll at the top: "This is getting beyond a joke now. Ross Taylor must be fast approaching as the worst NZ captain of all time...yet somehow he keeps the skippers band. Time to try someone new. NZ cricket needs to pull its head out of the sand and start playing hard ball with these inconsistent sorry examples of sportsman. From a very disappointed NZ sports fan!"

Rajneesh Gupta tweets that New Zealand's worst losing streak is 6, during 1954-55.
The Man of the Match is Rangana Herath: "I enjoy bowling here. I stick to the basics. I saw on (that I was the leading wicket-taker in 2012).

Taylor: "Herath put us under pressure all the while. The way schedules are these days it can't be helped (lack of warm-ups). The new ball bowlers bowled exceptionally well. The partnership between Angelo and Mahela took the game away. I'm sure there will be a couple of changes before the next Test, but we will have to see the wicket."

Mahela: "He (Herath) has taken a lot of responsibility. This morning we showed a lot of control with the ball and kept the pressure on. It's a great venue and enjoy batting here. When Dilshan is fit he will walk straight into the side, positive to see Dimuth bat. Happy with the young talent but it's a work in progress."

England v India

India 521/8d & 80/1 (15.3 ov)
England 191 & 406 (f/o)

India won by 9 wickets

India win by nine wickets and thoroughly deserve their victory. They have outplayed England since the first session of the match. Yes, they were made to work to dismiss them second time around but the first-innings advantage gave them plenty of breathing space. In many ways this match followed the path many expected: India dominating with the bat (after winning a good toss) then troubling England with spin. However, the success of their quick bowlers was a big plus-point for them. I think Duncan Fletcher even cracked a smile in the dressing room at the end, this was a result with his imprint all over it too.

For England there is plenty to ponder and much to be concerned about. Apart from Alastair Cook and Matt Prior (plus a little of Nick Compton) the batting was woeful on a surface that was never a minefield. With the ball it was only Graeme Swann that threatened with the pace bowlers poor. Did England get the team wrong? Always easy to assess in hindsight, of course but hard to see how the attack won't be changed for Mumbai. There will also need to be a change in the batting with Ian Bell going home for the birth of his child. Stick with us for the post-reaction which we hope to be able to bring you.

Presentation time...Alastair Cook: "We can look at a number of reasons why we didn't win, but our first innings wasn't good enough. It was a great fightback, there was a glimmer of hope, but it always had to be something special. We'll work hard going into Mumbai. The pitch got slower as the game went on. We need runs in the first innings, they are crucial, and we need to keep working as hard as we can."

MS Dhoni: "There was something in the wicket to start with but as the game progressed there was low bounce but not much turn. It was hardwork for the spinners and it was a fantastic effort from them. Even if you misjudged the flight you had time to adjust and not much carried to the slips. It was important not to give many runs."

"It was a fantastic game for Pujara. He has the temperament to play big innings and has shown that on the domestic circuit. He makes sure he converts fifties to hundreds. Ojha looks to bowl tight and he knew it was up to him to take responsibility."

The Man of the Match is Cheteshwar Pujara: "The ball was coming nicely onto the bat. There was turn, but it was slow. As a team we knew we had to put up 500-plus and I had to hang around to play my role. In the second innings the ball was hard and I had a lot of confidence. I was out for almost a year and since I'm back I'm enjoying it."

West Indies v Bangladesh

2nd Test, Day 1, Stumps

Bangladesh 365/8 (86.0 ov)
Mahmudullah 72*
Abul Hasan 100*

Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat

And that is stumps! What a day of cricket this has been, something quite unexpected. If the first half of the day belonged to Fidel Edwards with his five-wicket haul, the second part was totally for Abul Hasan, who became the first ever batsman in 110 years to score a century from number 10 on debut. On the whole, Bangladesh will be happy with their score of 365/8 on what has been a slow and flat pitch.

179 runs in the 3rd session & Bangladesh coming back from 193/8 to put themselves in a really good position for the match.

Only the second batsman to come in at 10 on debut and score a 100
