CRICKET: SA v India

450 is a par score on this pitch...so hoping SA can get them out for less than that tho it seems unlikely.

Sehwag on fire here..looks like they want to get a big score quickly and let SA see how they do on this flat pitch...

i see Harry is getting some turn out the rough? must admitt this pitch is a PURE batting pitch from what i saw yesterday.
 
India will prob declare just before the end of the day if they're still out there and let SA bat for 10 overs or so. if they get 500 game is safe for india... we need to get them all out 420-450 to have any hope of a miracle to win...hopefully sewag goes quickly and when they do, the rest will follow...Sewag looking dangerous. Doesn't have the best of defenses or footwork but against the old ball hes deadly. Dunno y india took so long to move him the order away from the new ball. theyll be looking to him for quick 50 and set up the game...
 
Sa should be worried bout Kumble...
cos if Harris can do this... imagine what Kumble with 112 tests and 542 wickets of experience will do!!!

yip. India must be hoping they had also played Harbajan singh. He woulda been just as dangerous as kumble on this wicket.
And something else to worry about, India have a left arm fast bowler which means that zaheer khan will create rough outside the right handers off stump... which will work perfectly for kumble... umpires need to watch zaheer running on the pitch on purpose... although it will be tough

Kudos to the groundsman - we've had two pitches that favoured the bowlers a little more so far in the series, now one for the batsmen is a good thing.

Jonty, I'm hoping you will say 'I told you so' again...this time regarding the 600 runs that we'll score...

let's hope we bat well...need some solid partnerships and sensible batting now.

One wicket down by the end of the day is acceptable. Anymore wickets then not acceptable. Smith, Kallis, Gibbs and Prince's home pitch. They should do well here.
