CRICKET: SA v India

I think India are a bit short here. They would've liked 500+ considering the way they batted. Hats up for the saffers for battling and not giving up considering it's such a good pitch to bat on.
 
thought AB was ok...he left the ball well...just played the wrong stroke. He really needs to neaten up his blocking.
 
50 partnership, Smith and Amla not looking too bad. Hope they find their form by adding another 100+

dude... they gonna reach 130ish as i said somewhere earlier... still many overs left for the day... and the sun aint going down anytime soon...
 
good batting display from Saffers...we are doing well considering the situation this morning. 144/1 is more than we expected and at a decent rate. Sreesanth is playing mind games again..taunting Amla but doesnt look like it's phasing him one bit.

Despite my seemingly pro-India comments , I'm still shouting for S.A. !

Any chance of this test resulting in a draw ? (with the friendly pitch)

Amla looking very good.should make a big one and grab this opportunity and silence some critics.and dare i say it,smith looking very good too.moving around less in the crease before ball is bowled and its helping...Jonty i guess u were right,i was a little negative :) and i think 600 is on the cards..question is,do sa have enuf time to win.well need to bat until lunch on the 4th day to get there.still kallis,gibbs,prince.alot of work ahead for the indians.i thot they batted really badly after that good start..

We're playing the worst Indian team in memory, anyone can beat them . He declares too late and gets lucky (poor Indian team remember).

It's nothing to beat this lot.

But I suppose you only have to play well enough to beat whoever we're playing. :rolleyes:
 
Why would u say we're playing the worst Indian team in history? The only series they did bad in was in the ODI's against SA and the Champions Trophy. Besides that they've done very well in the past year. They went to Pakistan, drew there, and destroyed them in the ODI's, drew against England at home whilst mauling them in ODI's, Beat Sri Lanka 2-0 in the test series back in end 2005 and was one stage 2nd in the ICC test rankings. South Africa at the time was like lying in 5th or 6th place.

They have on of the more balanced bowling line ups in the world. They have decent seamers (Khan and Sreesanth), inswingers (Patel) and spinners (Kumble and Bhaji). The bowling line up can bowl in almost any country and not do very badly. Then they have batsmen with very good averages and play in positions they make their own.

The only reason why everyone was shocked SA when they beat us was of stats and history. We've shown to be a very good team at home and India known for the poor touring in SA. The only fact is that we have one of the worst SA teams in history where only a handful of the players are assured of their place and others are in line to be replaced.
