No thread yet?

Australia are playing India in a 4 test series.:)

Australia 254/4 (89.2 ov) on day 1

ML Hayden c Dhoni b Khan 0
SM Katich c Dhoni b Sharma 66
RT Ponting lbw b Harbhajan Singh 123
MEK Hussey not out 46
MJ Clarke lbw b Khan 11

A lot of talk about Ponting vs Harbi before the series, looks like Ponting walked his talk.

Yeah, u never here about the Aussies "building a team" like our coaches always do.
They make sure they always have a good team.

It is because they wait for players to be mature enough, look at hussey.

Also they bring in ONE new player in a game and let him find his feet before changing another player... thus almost no pressure :)

Ps almost 7k time for you :D

Yeah, we never learn that.
And they have many more they can choose from, only problem is with a spinner. But u can understand that, a guy like Warnie doesn't come around often.

It's WeePee's fault that I don't have 20k posts.

ROFL @ Weepee :D:D

But warne was good and he could take the IMPORTANT wickets at the IMPORTANT times... Look at macgill's stats though it is close to warnes in tests and ODI's, thats why the aussies are so brilliant.

Yeah, that macgill's one of the unluckiest players around.

But he took most of his Test wickets on spin frienly pitches.
Or so they say on a few cricinfo articles.

I reckon if Warnie played for us instead of the Aussies, our history would be very different.

yeah i also think warney was a cut above him but Macgill was one of the best still...

What we need is a left arm swing bowler and a leg spinner.. Johan botha is k@k and so is old moffie hair harris.

I really can not see why we don't bloody start it at school level.... I mean FFS Jacques rudolp started as a spineer, he ended as a bat.... WTF? Look after the spineers that are playing at under 19 level that have potencial.

Macgill was probably around the 5th best spinner in the world for most of his career.

Adams could've great for us, those first 10 or so tests he played were awesome. But since that happened - ZERO.

Its going to be difficult for India. That first innings lead is hurting. Tomorrow is going to be interesting to see whether Aus's strategy of rely on pace in India works. Neither Clarke or White are know as spinners capable of running through a batting side.

India can win it but it will require a sehwag innings and he usually doesn't provide those in the second innings.
