It depends on how you look at it i think, if you have been living in england for 5 years or longer why can you not call yourself english?

Hahahahahaha

Ok what about this, your parents are parents are french, they pop you out here and you stay here for 5 years, then at age 5 you move to the UK what are you?

French SA or english?

1) Then I would 10-1 be British as the fact of the matter is I would be in the UK in the years I developed mentally and created my own identity... psychology 101

And now you are thinking of asking me what if these "development years" were spent half in country X and half in Country Y?

Well then you are truelly Bi-national ;)

Yes well done Proteas congrats on being number one. Hopefully it will last for a while. Hopefully Smiths new girlfriend will keep him motivated and in line :)

Its days like these and when the Boks became number one that give me a weird kind of pleasure that these kind of results hopefully in some way cause grief to whom i collectively call "The South African All Black supporters". The people who troll forums (not here) and radio talk shows whose soul purpose is to spew hate and venon at those teams.

Anyway well done again Proteas :)

+1. FFS then support the All Blacks but stay away from the SA teams!

England captain Andrew Strauss has targeted leading his side to the top of the Test rankings following the 2-1 Ashes triumph over Australia.

Talk about arrogance if you ask me, beat a very weak aussie team and then you start thinking about no1? pffffffffft

All the test captains say that.
Except Zim.

Andrew Flintoff has challenged the England players to prove they are the best in the world after retiring from Test cricket with an Ashes victory.

Amazing, man i thought the aussies had an arrogance problem. It seems that winning the ashes means you are best in the world.

The poms still think they're the best soccer team in the world after winning the 1966 WC.

HAHA, love the poll on sport24

If it were possible, which of the four current SA-born England players would you most wish to see represent the Proteas?

Andrew Strauss

Kevin Pietersen

Jonathan Trott

Matt Prior

No thanks, England can keep the lot

14 % Andrew Strauss

18 % Kevin Pietersen

9 % Jonathan Trott

8 % Matt Prior

51 % No thanks, England can keep the lot
